Play Foundations – Award-winning Early Years Resources

Play Foundations is a series of books developed to help Early Years practitioners provide a positive learning environment for the children in their early years setting. Each book provides detailed guidance in setting up quality play scenarios or activities with young children.

The series is fully matched to the new Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum 2012 covering the seven Areas of learning and development with links to the 3 Prime areas of learning and the 4 Specific areas of learning. A Planning chart is included in each book to enable the practitioner to easily identify the areas of learning they are covering within each activity. Learning through play
All activities are based on the four guiding principles of the EYFS 2012:
